The CHI 2027 submission process differs in several respects from previous years. The restructured review model, the review responsibility slots, and the new paper-reviewer matching system have all been described in earlier posts on this blog, and the authoritative requirements are set out in the Call for Papers and the Papers Review Process page. Several of these changes affect what authors need to prepare and enter in the submission system PCS. To help author teams keep track, we have put together a CHI 2027 Paper Submission Checklist:
How to Use It
The checklist covers desk-rejection risks, anonymization, content and ethics, accessibility, supplementary materials, the PCS submission form, and the steps after submission and on acceptance. Items that are new for 2027 are marked as such, so authors who have submitted to CHI before can focus on those.
We recommend printing the document to PDF and working through a fresh copy for each paper you submit, so that every submission is checked end to end.
The document is open for comments. If you find something that is incorrect, out of date or unclear, or if you think an item is missing, please leave a comment or a suggested change directly in the document. This is the most effective way to improve the next version for everyone.
Scope and Limitations
This checklist is a working aid, not an authoritative or exhaustive source. CHI adjusts its policies, templates, and deadlines every year, so please always verify against the official Call for Papers before you submit. If this sheet and the CHI website / submission portal disagree, the websites overrule. This checklist does not guarantee that a submission is valid, but it covers the vast majority of desk-reject grounds.
